Patterson Park DC is proud to offer an enriching online course designed for at-risk and underserved youth in the DC area. This course is tailored to empower minority students in grades K-12, providing them with essential skills and knowledge to thrive both academically and personally. Participants will engage in three engaging sections: 'Academic Enrichment', where they will focus on developing critical tutoring and study strategies; 'Personal Development', which emphasizes mentorship and health and wellness practices; and 'Creative & Financial Literacy', a foundation to inspire creativity through arts and robotics, as well as practical skills for managing money effectively. Each step involves hands-on activities and real-world applications facilitated by experienced instructors dedicated to fostering a supportive learning environment. By the end of this course, students will have acquired new skills, built relationships with mentors, and gained confidence in their abilities, paving the way for a brighter future.
